Stock Market is a den for speculators. The so called analysts of stock market also plays around with jargons to fool the investing public. I am yet to find a single analyst who can talk straight without beating around the bush. Analysts have become market makers who take positions. As long as market makers keep maneuvering, withers in stock market cannot be avoided. Even the fund managers of MFs have been now exposed of their inefficiency. Stock market should reach its fundamental levels, which in my opinion should be around 10000 in BSE and 4000 in NSE.
Why should they be banned ? On the contrary they should be encouraged to shed their dresses further because that would generate more excitement and energy for the public and the players (sic) as well.
No I do not think so. Pay hike should be linked to the growth in GDP and to compensate the inflationary pressures. Either you have the Govt servants or Dont have them it is your choice, but to deny them the due benefit of compensation is incorrect. -Varadarajan
Let it be a natural formation. Should we attempt to destroy it where faith and sentiments of people are affected. There are several natural formations in India, like Jwalamukhi in Himachal, Hot water spring in Badrinath, Kedarnath and Jyothirlingams etc. Should we destroy them because the secularist does not believe ? Polititians have double standards depending upon vote banks. Hate Hinduism has assumed to be the definition of secularism of today. -Varadarajan
The question itself is wrong. Mythology need not be dragged into politics but the belief and faith of the people is paramount. The politicians should learn to respect irrespective of any Religion. - Varadarajan
HE CAN BE GRANTED MERCY PROVIDED HE COMES CLEAN ON THE ENTIRE EPISODE AND THE ENTIRE NETWORK INVOLVED IN SUCH A HEINOUS CRIME.
IT IS A CLEAR CASE OF ABUSING THE JUDICIARY TO GAIN POLITICAL ADVANTAGE. JUSTICE BANERJEE IS ONLY SHORT OF SAYING THAT THE OCCUPANTS OF S-6 COACH HAD IMMOLATED THEMSELVES AND HE SHOULD BE COMPLIMENTED FOR THAT. IT IS A MOCKERY OF THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM AND PARLIAMENT SHOULD TAKE ALL STEPS TO CORRECT.

Stock Market was always driven by the liquidity pumped in by the FII. They tend to scoot the moment retail investor and the Mutual Funds are attracted to invest in the ascending market, looking for gains. They would come back again when the market resumes at the realistic levels and the same story would get repeated and the retail investors would have to lick their wounds while the FIIs would walk cheerfully to their bankers. It is a sheer money power that drives the speculation and make or mar the market. In case the loss suffered by the retail investors, which includes Mutual Funds also, is equal to the amount of Gross domestic Savings accrued for a particular period of time for investment in stocks, the same time is needed for the retail investor to make a come back. -VARADARAJAN
Whenever a saving is made compulsory by the Government, the return on such savings should be more than the market rate of inflation, as option of getting a better return is denied to the saver and the Govt should adequately compensate as a social security measure. Or else make EPC contribution optional leaving the choice to individuals by introducing special schemes on EPF, guaranteeing a minimum tax free return of EPF savings after a stipulated period on superannuation. The EPF& PPF could be combined and made one fund, making the employer's contribution compulsory for organised labour force while all other contributions be made optional. Solution is simple. Anything compulsory is irritating.
CUSTOM
The original version of Indian Constituion envisaged doing away with reservations within a definite period of time. Continuance of reservations even after 57 years of independence serve the politicians alone none else. The country is getting divided on caste lines or religious lines. The founding fathers of constitution never wanted this at all cost. All reservations per se is wrong and the country cannot progress unless all are treated equally in all fields.
