Yugal Sharma is the Regional Director for India and South Asia at Polycom and is responsible for the company’s operations in the region including sales, marketing and the strategic alliances network. Yugal also heads the business for SAARC region and overlooks the company's operations in both regions.

Prior to joining Polycom, Yugal was General Manager, Sales & Marketing, Asia Pacific at PARSEC Technologies (I) Ltd. He was responsible for evolving ‘Change Management’ by moving to a Business model from a Product Development model. At PARSEC, Yugal was responsible for setting up business in new markets like Philippines, Malaysia and the US.

Before PARSEC, Yugal was Senior Manager, (Sales and Marketing) at Siemens Ltd. and initiated the model for distribution channel business for mobile phones in India as the industry progressed from an operator driven to a channel driven business. While at LG Electronics as Assistant General Manager, Sales and Marketing (Product Group Head for IT and Telecom) for India, Yugal initiated LG’s entry into India for their GSM range of Mobile Handsets and new range of IT products.

Yugal began his career in 1993 with TATA Telecom Ltd. – a TATA and Lucent Technologies JV Co., (formerly AT&T) as a Sales Engineer and parted as Regional Sales Manager after close to 7 years.

Yugal holds a Masters in International Trade from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, (I I F T), New Delhi after pursuing a Masters in Marketing Management, (MBA).
