Ravi Kiran is the Chief Executive Officer for South East and South Asia of Starcom MediaVest Group, one of the largest marketing communication networks in the world and in India.
Kiran is focussed on providing the strategy and vision that will allow Starcom MediaVest Group to attain its goal of being a powerful company in the region that provides brands engaging connections with their consumers.
A respected media executive, Kiran was named Starcom MediaVest Group’s CEO - South East Asia in February 2008, in addition to his prior responsibility of CEO-South Asia and CEO-Asia for specialist communication services within the group.
Out of a total of 17 years in the business, Kiran has spent over 8 years at Lintas India and Initiative Media, and was one of the early advertising executives in India, who crossed over into Media from Account Management.
Under his leadership, Starcom MediaVest Group in Asia is building competencies in many non-classical disciplines. Prominent amongst these are Sports and Cause Enabled Marketing [Relay Worldwide], Entertainment and Embedded Marketing [Starcom Entertainment], Online and Wireless marketing [Starcom IP], Activation and Consumer Excitement [ACE], Ambient and Impact Marketing [StarSight], Small Town and Rural Marketing [Xpanse], Lifestyle and Luxury Marketing [C].
He was voted India’s 5th most influential media professional by premier business publication Brand Equity in 2007.
Kiran holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from University of Kashmir and an MBA Marketing degree from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. His interests include technology, behavioural sciences and philosophy. |
